Rice Physics Outreach Program
We bring the wonder of physics to the community through hands-on demonstrations and educational outreach events designed to spark curiosity and lifelong learning.
our mission
At RicePOP, we believe science is the most powerful tool for human progress. Our team of physicists and educators is dedicated to making complex concepts accessible through high-impact demonstrations and community workshops. We empower the next generation of thinkers by turning curiosity into discovery.
Featured Demos
Levitating Superconductors
Watch superconductors float above magnetic tracks as we explore quantum levitation and magnetic fields.
Optics
Experiment with lenses, prisms, and lasers to see how light bends, reflects, and forms colorful patterns.
Eddy Currents
See how changing magnetic fields create swirling electric currents that can slow, stop, or move metal objects.
